The Committee

The committee  is split in several roles and they are:

The Chairman  

The  Current Chairman  Is Mick Chapman. He set up  thewalkingclub.co.uk  in Peterborough in 1992 but has since moved away. That club is still  going strong.  In  June 2009  Mick was returning to walking an found that none of the local groups seemed to offer what he was looking for and having done it once before decided to start another club - The Hiking Club.

The Secretary

The  Club  currently does not have the role  filled   and Mick is currently covering.   This role will up for election at the AGM in April.

The Treasurer

 The  Club  currently does not have the role  filled   and Mick is currently covering.   This role will up for election at the AGM in April.

Router Planning and Transport Co-ordinator

 The  Club  currently does not have the role  filled   and Mick is currently covering.   This role will up for election at the AGM in April.

Public Relations

 The  Club currently does not have the role  filled   and Mick is currently covering.   This role will up for election at the AGM in April.

The Editor and Web Designer

 This role is held by Mick for the forseable future this role will not be up for election at the AGM in April.  However other committee members will be added content to   the site as well as user uploading walk reports

 That  makes up the team currenlty  we do need your help to run the club and we urgently require a Treasurer if you are interested in this or any of the other roles  please contact  us using the contact form.
